  • Say hello to our furry team members, Lacy, Bella, and Cali (left to right)! These three aren’t just our pets, they’re our Helper Dogs in training sessions. They help socialize new puppies and even step in as playful distractions during lessons. Some dogs take a little time to warm up, but Bella has a magical way of getting even the shyest pups to come out of their shells!

At Rayo’s K9 Academy, we tailor our training to fit each dog and owner because no two dogs are the same. Since opening four years ago, our mission has been to help owners understand their dog’s behavior, strengthen the human-canine bond, and achieve lasting results through professional obedience training and behavior modification. Our ultimate goal is happy, confident dogs and confident owners who enjoy a well-behaved companion for life.

Meet the Trainer!

Hi, I’m Raymond! I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Compton, my parents kept me busy with soccer and staying home, but I always found myself drawn to our family dogs. My true passion for dog training started when I got a dog I wasn’t prepared for. It was challenging, but I wanted to do right by her. Putting her into training opened my eyes to the impact proper guidance can have, and I was hooked.

Since then, I’ve shadowed trainers specializing in a variety of methods to ensure I can handle almost any situation. I’ve also trained in NePoPo® and am a Silver School graduate, experiences that have shaped and refined my approach to dog training. What started as a personal journey turned into a full-time career, and today I’m dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build confidence, trust, and lasting harmony.

  • I can’t recommend Rayo’s K9 Academy enough! I’ve put Nymeria through another large B&T facility and well, let’s just say I was extremely careful in my research and vetting for another B&T to fix previous results. Rayo’s K9 Academy hit every request with a tailored training for her needs and goals. Not only that, but she was treated like one of their own! When I picked her up, she was happy, confident, and hitting everything I had brought up during the consultation. They sent me daily updates and never complained about her digestive issues (senior GSD and EPI). I’d 100% send her back for boarding and more advanced training.
